Information cards
Guide to What to Include in the Information Section of Your Wedding Invitations
timings
If you have not included on the main invites, include an arrival time if you'd like guests to arrive before the ceremony.
directions
Only include if your venue is hard to find. If needed, mention any specific entrance or postcode guests should use.
PARKING
Let guests know if parking is available on-site, whether it's free, and if they can leave cars overnight. It is also good practice to include what time these need to be collected by the following day.
Accommodation
If your venue has accommodation, mention it. Otherwise, suggest nearby hotels at different price points for overnight stays.
Taxis
Provide contact details for local taxi services. If your venue is remote, recommend guests pre-book a taxi for the evening’s end (especially if Uber is not an option!!)
GIFTS
If you'd like gifts, let guests know what you would prefer—whether from a gift list or contributions toward something like your honeymoon. For tips on asking for money, check out our “Gifts: How to Ask for What You Want” blog.
SOCIALs
If you’d prefer guests didn’t share photos or only posted after a certain time, or if you don’t want photos taken at all, mention it in a social media section. Equally you could choose to have an ‘Unplugged Ceremony’ sign on the day.
Child free Wedding?
If your day is adults-only, consider mentioning this on your information card. It helps set the right expectations for your guests. For some friendly wording suggestions, feel free to explore our ideas “Child Free Wedding” blog.
